This place was buzzing, a real hive of activity. I did like the ambience and fresh feel of this place, but opted to sit outside as indoors was irritatingly LOUD as fk.

Feels good walking into a cafe knowing they’re brewing one of Australia’s premier roasters (Proud Mary) so was keen to wrap my lips around that bad boy.

But slurping away, I found myself wanting to like it more than I actually did. It was pleasant, but didn’t really offer much more than that, like something was holding it back. If you have a correctly brewed Proud Mary single origin, you’d be sure you’re drinking gods forbidden nectar. But I believe we were just working with the humbler blend here, so it’s just not quite the same sadly.

Although not overly generous portions, the food is nice and fresh.

The customer service was nice and friendly, but we did have to wait a fair while due to the busyness. The cardinal sin of forgetting to sugar a latte (not mine) was also made, which unfortunately dropped the score there.

Long story short: worth a go.
