This place is buzzin. Always very busy, and I think for a good reason.

Recently renovated, the inside is pretty immaculate, and the outside area is nicely enclosed and stock full of heaters for those chilly days.

The staff were lovely and very accommodating to quickly snag us a great table inside. The food is also incredible here, but unfortunately, the espresso is not.

Once again, these small regional cafes – letting themselves down by not using premium specialty beans. One sip seemed to end in a full stop. Deep, dark, bitter yuckiness.

In fairness to it, the deeper I got into it, the more of the bitterness subsided, so I could almost imagine it tasting decent in a milk based drink, with a nutty chocolatey finish. But a short black is a no go zone.

In short: come for the food, don’t stay for the coffee.
