This place was so cool. I’ve never been to Italy, but I could imagine this is what a genuine espresso bar would be like there. Busy and bustling, a packed house is always a good sign right?

I’ve heard that back in the day, the earliest espresso bars were built purposely as that – a bar where you come in, stand at the bar while you smack down your espresso, and out the door within minutes, no time to spare! This place definitely had that bar vibe, not a place where you sit down and dordle for an hour or 2.

But damn, the espresso sucked! Hot damn. Eye twitchingly, cough inducing, bitter battery acid. I could barely choke it down, while I smiled at the staff pretending to like it. This is the traditional Italian espresso – dark roast, bitter and strong. Type of stuff that’ll put hairs on your chest. Can’t expect much more from Vittoria beans though. Yuck (sorry nonno).

Food here is pretty elite tho. And staff are nice. Makes up for anything bad I’ve said.

Have you been here? What’d you think?
