Nestled in Southern Cross Lane just off Little Collin’s street, you’ll find another Axil Coffee Roasters (There are many).
I was need of a break from work, and in need of a double espresso so meandered my way down from my hotel room. Let’s just say, I’m logged into work, but actual work getting done may be a different story.
First impressions of the espresso were pretty good, but nothing wowed me. I was copping a little bitter aftertaste and emptiness, which made me think it was just a blend rather than a single origin. Important to note that doesn’t mean it’s a bad coffee. This is my tongues opinion (read my about page).
Coffee is subjective – I’ve always stood by this. I personally don’t like any kind of deep dark notes or bitterness, but some people think that makes the perfect coffee, and hey, that’s fine! At the end of the day this is a quality coffee, it’s just not what I 100% prefer.
Ambience inside was nice and clean, I’m just not a huge fan of the shopping centre/mall vibe which it appears to be inside. Overall a decent experience!
